FOOTBALL

PERSIB BANDUNG

Having a fantastic year at PBR and my first appearance with the senior national team the next highlight was right around the corner as I joined the biggest and best indonesian club Persib Bandung in 2016.

Here at Persib Bandung everything is bigger than before, having hundreds of fans watching every training and thousands coming to every game. Everywhere you see Persib you will also have the supporters want to have your signature or selfie with you.

With the fantastic support of the fans we already had two chances to win a trophy but both times in the "Bali Island Cup" and the "Piala Bhayangkara" we lost the final tightly against Arema Malang.

In the Torabika Soccer Championship competition we finally became 5th, all in all it was a pretty successful season for myself after a quite hard start.

The second season was not that successful after losing the Semi-Final of the "Piala Presiden" and becoming 3rd at the end and the just finished "Gojek Traveloka Liga 1" where we poorly finished 13th place.

Unfortunately in the 3rd last game I broke my Fibula after a tackle from a player of Persija Jakarta, so currently I am in process of healing the broken bone to come back stronger than before.

INDONESIA NATIONAL TEAM

National Team! In 2011 my childhood dream came true as I got called up for the u23 national team of Indonesia for the Sea Games 2011.

Some first nice experiences followed the upcoming weeks, training camps in different cities with some friendly games continuing with  two weeks  preparation in Hong Kong.

But unfortunately I didn't get called for the final squad so I missed these Sea Games.

2015 after a good season at PBR I got attention from the senior national team with an invitation to the official FIFA Friendly games against Cameroon & Myanmar.

For each player it is something special to play for the national team of his country, during the match in Sidoarjo against Myanmar I was finally brought on and made my debut for the senior team.

Wearing the national team jersey is such a big honor and after FIFA released the sanction of Indonesia I hope Indonesia will be back soon in the international football!

PELITA BANDUNG RAYA

So back in Indonesia 2014 and with the help of my current Management Munial Sport Group I finally get the chance to play in the Indonesia Super League the most prestigious competition here in Indonesian joining Pelita Bandung Raya (PBR).

After vanishing a bit it was my chance to get back and prove people wrong.

Coach Dejan was the coach and already from the start on me and the whole team had a very good relationship to the whole coaching staff.

PBR sure wasn't the most talented and best team in the league but with hard work, extraordinary teamwork and passion we made it to the Top 4 having the chance to win the competition.

Losing to Persipura in the semi-finals made us stop dreaming but nevertheless it was a very successful season for me as I made it in the team of the season.

Because of that even though I had offers from other clubs I decided to stay for the next season to continue where we ended the year before.

But political problems unfortunately stopped the league after only 3 games so a hard time began for every professional footballer in Indonesia. After waiting a few months the ball was finally rolling again with some tournaments like "Piala Presiden" or "Piala J. Sudirman" where PBR also joined with moderate success.

Simultaneously these 2 tournaments were the last for me in a PBR jersey as I was ready for the next step.

PERSEMA MALANG

My career here in Indonesia started with an invitation to a Charity Game "Garuda Merah vs. Garuda Putih" in Surabaya and Malang in 2010. Besides that event Coach Timo Scheunemann also contacted me and offered me a trial at Persema Malang, a professional 1st division team in Malang.

I only needed one training to convince Coach Timo to make me a part of his team, also the 2 games were good enough to gain the trust of Coach Timo and the management of Persema Malang.

But things weren't that easy, because I didn't have the indonesian passport they couldn't register me so I needed to wait until the 6th December where I officially became Indonesian!

Another big injury threw me back and made me stop dreaming of playing in the national team for the Suzuki AFF Cup 2010 but at the beginning of 2011 I finally signed a contract for Persema Malang and stayed there for almost 3 years.

All in all Persema Malang was a nice experience and a good start for my football career in Indonesia.

After some problems with the indonesian football I decided to move on to another club and tried my luck in Thailand with unsatisfiying results.

FC 07 Heidelsheim

After my knee injury which kept me away from the ball for almost one year made me bury all my hopes to play professional football in Germany but I didn't want to quit football because it was a part of my life since I was a kid so I said to myself I'm gonna try and come back so I decided to go amateur for my first senior year to gain experience so I joined FC 07 Heidelsheim which played Verbandsliga at that time.

I had a very succesful first season, I played every of the 28 games scoring 2 goals as we almost claimed promotion to the 4th german division but finally lost our relegation game.

I already agreed to extend my contract for another year as almost all the players stayed and we were sure to clinch promotion in the upcoming season but plans changed as I got an invitation from Indonesia...

Karlsruher SC

My whole youth career I played at the german Bundesliga club "Karlsruher SC".

At the age of 6 after training at a soccer school in Karlsruhe the Coach of the club came to me and my dad to ask me if I want to join them.

So since that time I was a part of one of the best junior academys in Germany and stayed there more than 12 years. Special thanks to my wonderful parents for making all this possible, driving me to training, games and tournaments all the time.

I had many special experiences there, football education on the highest level, amazing training and match facilities and games against international clubs like Inter Milan, Valencia or german clubs such as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke 04 or Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

But also sad experiences like my heavy knee injury at the age of 18 in my last junior season that ended my professional football career in Germany.
